30 x 26mm with 1/16" mandrel hole
Back by request - some of my favorites from years ago! A spray of raised dots in nicely soft pastels with occasional punctuation of base (non-color) black. Lots of presence, little weight!
So the thinking this week was that these vines are just running rampant up the aging walls of the castle and tower... made me smile...
This almost roundish focal has been lentilized to give it a graceful feeling in hand... and a subtle taper at the top from where it hangs. It measures 38mm in diameter and is 50mm Long. top of bale to tip of base.
It comes with my fine silver Hitching Post - that will allow you to wear it immediately - and it also can be easily removed once it is released from the jump ring.
This set is made predominantly of 1/2" diameter beads... all with 1/165" mandrel holes.
Lentilized teardrop of glass focal sports tiny designs in gracefully applied stringerwork. Field has been etched, design remains glossy. 38mm x 31mm with 3/32" mandrel hole.
This new style of bead has a certain beauty about it, a satin etched field, and glossy stringerwork decoration... starkly contrasted on the same surface. Intricate stringer designs laid carefully onto tiny canvases with a 'glass paintbrush' sized smaller than 1mm.
Truncated Blossom Bead - $60
I have a few of these on hand, but am taking orders, they will be ready in appx a week.
Truncated blossom bead above... featuring delicately balanced stringerwork and springtime blossoms. Designs remain glossy, field is etched. Appx 50mm x 16mm at widest, ends12mm, with 3/32" mandrel hole.
1/2" dia rounds of glass sport tiny designs in gracefully applied stringerwork. Field has been etched, design remains glossy. All findings are handmade and are sterling silver. These earrings will dangle 1 5/8" from your earlobe.
1/2" dia rounds of glass sport several moon-shaped orbs in a metallic blue on a field that has been etched while design remains glossy. All findings are handmade and are sterling silver. These earrings will dangle 1 5/8" from your earlobe.
1/2" diameter rounds with a myriad of stringerwork stories applied to the surface. Glossy designs, etched field made the beads a little bit different... 1/16" mandrel holes.
This is just a test, (kidding), to see if you're paying attention... I found another nicely sweet color to wrap with fine silver wire and encase... these 1/2" rounds are really nice little works of art! All findings are handmade with sterling silver. These will dangle 1 5/8" from your earlobe
I'm loving the lentilized oval shape for focals this week... and it's always a challenge to make sure that when I press them into the finished shape that I get a nicely balanced focal with sweet curves at the top & bottom. I'm pleased with the design as well as the balance on the focal and have also included five 1/2" rounds to use in a finished piece. Would love to see what you come up with!! Focal measures 37mm x 29mm with a 3/32" mandrel hole. The rounds are 1/2"D with 1/16 mandrel holes.
I got lost in the whimsy of silvered ivory stringer - the fine detail and the soft echo of the line it forms down the middle of the ivory. See my blog (3.8.2017) for smiles on how the lines magically merge. Truncated bicone measuring 51mm x 12mm dia base, 11mm dia top, with a 3/32" mandrel hole.
I've been making this style bead for upwards of 15 years. Sometimes the stringerwork is undulating and free - and other times - it's very linear and exact. I often like to see just how thin the stringer can be - but - I honestly don't see how it could be any thinner!! This was about 1mm and was on the edge of difficult to work with. My blog, this week - 3.8.2017, talks of how in certain circumstances when the stringer will create three, and four-way intersections, and in other circumstances - overpasses... I've always loved that about this design. This bead measures 43mm x 20mm dia base, 9mm dia at top and has a 3/32" mandrel hole.
Refreshingly organic focals on a base of gorgeous ivory... tracings of stylized leaves elegantly weave their way around the lentilized bead shape. Larger oval focal is perfectly sized for a longer chain - while the smaller one could be worn closer to the throat. Current focal favorites. : )
Left - $55
47mm x 31mm with 3/32" mandrel hole
Right - $45
43mm x 30mm with 3/32" mandrel hole.
I love the play of black, mossy greens and a range of mirrored blues bring richness to the mix. These beads are all in the 1/2"-3/4" size range. This set measures 7 3/8" as shown. All mandrel holes are 1/16" and this set brings a nicely organic set in richer tones.
Faceted transparent taupe glass headpins/earwires with hammered Hilltribe silver lentils - lovely, lightweight and a nice go-with-everything color. These will hang 2" from your earlobes and have a great presence while being extremely lightweight. : )
Great Grape Hollow Earrings - $50
Again - my love for transparent glass and saturated color brings you these wonderful earrings. 3/4" x 5/8" hollows are suspended from handmade sterling findings. (My favorites this week!!)
