Purple & Proud Lentil Focal - $50
SOLD
Feathered beads are always
Organic... sometimes surprising
but always lovely.
This rich purple focal is a big one, check out the measurements:
45mm W x 40mm H, 3/32" mandrel hole.
And I found a couple of colors that have characteristics that
give the bead a wispy dreamy quality.

Allowable Lens Focal - $50

For my recent love affair with dichroic glass, this is
perhaps one of my very favorite finished pieces.
Maybe because this green is sooooo luscious...
maybe because I don't do much in green... I am not
quite sure. But here the presmise is: a little of a good
thing is good. Always having access to everything
good is not always good... it lessens the feeling of
special. So - the LENSES are raised amplifiers of what
is good, and it not only allows the view, but it makes it
bigger.
The rest of the surface has been etched - to obscure
the availability of the view...
Layers of colorful enamels atop a non-reactive glass,
wrapped snugly with fine silver wire at top and wired
onto a heavy duty headpin complete with bail for
immediate wearing.

Midnight in the Garden - $45
SOLD
I spent a lot of time this past
week looking at things
a bit differently - noticing how light plays on things,
and appreciating how moonlight just 'changes' things.
Although it didn't come through in the image - this bead
was wrapped with silver foil - and has a bit of shimmer,
this silver also helps to create reactions between applied
glass and base bead glass. Nice.
Slight lentilized tablular bead - feathered effects
32mm H x 33mm W, 3/32" mandrel hole

Years ago, there was a little girl named Emily
who lived across the street... and she was a ballerina.
(In no way was she shaped like these barrels) - but the
tutu idea was born then. Today offered in Wisteria (which
is a color shifting glass - from magenta to a cool lavender
blue in fluorescent light)... and clear frosted respectively.
3/32" mandrel holes

These are killer.
I've never had Raku 'sing' the way it does on these
pendants... for the uninitiated... Raku is a term we
use for a glass that's made by Reichenbach and it
*can* produce colors from blue & green to magenta
... it is represented here in its glory!
Three very subtle, yet sophisticated ways of wearing
glory!! These are a one-hole pendulum style bead to
be worn as a pendant... it comes with a sterling silver
bail permanently attached.

I love to think of where the glasses are coming from...
Focal A is a mingling of The Czech Republic for the luscious
denim colored transparent glass - paired with dark lavender
and apple from Italy. It seems so nice that these close knit
European countries' glass play so nicely together!
Focal B is a very stylish focal in an elongated cone with a
flat, but angled bottom... made also from the Czech Denim,
but paired this time with Lauscha's clear.
Each with a 3/32" mandrel hole.
Note* - when I am making the beads - I look for the straight 'reflection'
to show me
if the bead has been marvered smoothly - if the surface is flat
and even. Look at the
reflections and you will see a straight line!
Plumb Lovely Pendant - $70

This is yet another of those pendants - *(actually I just
noticed
that it is shaped amazingly like a plumb... and quickly changed
the name. : )* ... as I was saying... that feels just wonderful
in hand.
But probably the prettiest plumb ever, eh?
On a base of black, Gaia silvered glass is woven in and
under itself - then teased in the flame to bring out the
blues, greens and iridescent overtones, self capped with a
defining line of fine silver nailheads - and above that -
just black glass.
I've outfitted this pendulum with a bail and epoxied it into
place because I'm more apt to have what is needed *she says
assumingly*. Hope you like it!!
Pendant measures 70mm L from top of bail to tip of point!
