8.17.2008
- Gearing up for the update - I'm introducing
the Wilma Rocks!! just above. I have several on hand, and will be making more
- I will even take orders on these up til a certain point. (Thanks to Chloe
for being my model). Back to work, Jill
8.16.2008
- OK folks, it's time for an update - I have
sent out the notification email - but if you're not on my mailing list - please
meet me here at 9pm Sunday evening - the 17th. There will be plenty to cheer about
- as I have been amassing beads - as was susupected. I have planned to bring forth
the Wilma Rocks!! Necklaces - I just need to get them photographed. You'll see. Please
give me an excuse to make more beads - it's always such a nice feeling to send
them on their merry way. KnowhatImean?

8.09.2008
- I'm watching the Olympic Swimming in the Water
Cube... (see my Daily Special) and can't help but get so excited for the swimmers
- they're amazingly disciplined swimming machines! Phelps just seems so unstoppable.
Oh, I managed a beautifully lined bead today - see at the top of the page!
8.06.2008
- OK... lining the beads with metal is NOT easy..
I guess that's why they call it a learning process. eventually I'll get it down.
In the mean time, I'm still making beads with a smaller inside diameter - and
they work just fine with the bracelets. Below, is one from yesterday - with a
gorgeous twist encased in a layer of clear.
 8.05.2008
- I just got word that I've been designated as
SRAJD - membership in an organization that shows that when you buy from a SRAJD-authorized
seller, you are buying directly from and supporting the artist. Just a nice little
way to say it's unique and handmade. Cool, no? smiles, Jill

7.28.2008
- Hi there - I hear a few of you are worried
about me... no worries, I've just been busy. I've loaded the earring page, and
am editing bead images. I've also launched the "Wilma Rocks!" necklace
series. I'm hoping that they will become 'identifiable' with my name/work - as
the hammered ring bracelets have. I'll have to photograph them on - that's my
next project. You're going to love them! Simple, elegant and artsy.

Oh,
Clare - you might want to see the little holding place for the large hole beads
I've made. I don't think they require much more space on a bracelet than any other
ordinary *what's that????* bead would. Like wearing a little portfolio of work.
I'm going to also look into adding a core of metal - be it copper or silver -
it will be 'in the works' : ) as
always - smiles, Jill
7.15.2008 - Hey
there - I've reloaded the silver on Etsy, and now will concentrate on bead sets.
I think there will EVEN be a big update here soon. I'll send out an email to the
mailing list once I know I've got the inventory to support it. Sound like a plan?
Oh,
and also - I wanted to share another blog with you - it's called Eptitude
- it's not about glass... but about what is beautiful & having a place to
put it and to visit it often. Stay tuned, and I'll let you know about the
update... : ) smiles, Jill
12.2008
- Happy Saturday all, it's always good to get
away, but equally good to come home! As I went out with the dogs this morning,
I couldn't help but notice that the neighborhood had taken on a festive air. My
friend (*who just happens to have a 16 year old daughter*) had her house tp'd. Although
a huge PITA... it's sort of an 'honor' ... I know that sounds kind of odd. But.
7.06.2008
- Just a heads up - I will be leaving tomorrow
and will be out of town until late Friday - if you need me, send email - as we
all know that we have ways of always being connected. I will get all orders shipped
before I leave though. Look for new inspiration and a renewed sense of spirit
next week. Thanks for checking in - have a great week! : ) Jill
7.04.2008 - Happy 4th of July, wishing you
fun, family and fireworks! On another note, is the
card shown just below just about the cutest thing you've ever seen? Charyn is
one of my customers who sends a check rather than paying through PayPal... I always
look forward to the letter, as they're always amazing. This is a card from Papyrus,
I last lost myself in a store in NYC that had many different cards from this company,
and they were all just incredible.
6.23.2008 - I
mentioned awhile back that a friend of mine was writing a book... well it's out
and avaialble... and I am thrilled to say that some of my Electric Raspberries
are in there!! Here's the link to buy the book... it's wonderful!
6.22.2008 - OK,
so - it's a bit challenging keeping so much up to date. I'm trying to sprinkle
some new items on Etsy, and I think I'll add some new things to the focal page
here too early this week. I'm once again on a streak
with the copper. See the image above? That's a gloriously simple truncated bicone
with a band of copper mesh... cased with a thick layer of clear. It REALLY needs
to be photographed on a dark background... but I was being stubborn today, still
trying to get the bead to float on a white background.
6.20.2008 - SO
- now is the challenge to manage to keep three blogs, this site and an Etsy store
current... think I can do it? We shall see! I'm also offering Pandora bracelet
style beads on the Etsy store. Interesting, eh? 6.16.2008
- I've opened an ETSY
shop and also started a glass
blog. I'm excited about the glass blog especially, as I plan to post some
of those photos that I usually don't want to remove from the top of the pages...
you'll see what I mean in the coming days... thanks for stopping in! Jill
6.15.2008 - Happy
Fathers Day, all you dads out there! I especially want to say that I am one of
the luckiest 'kids' around, for my Dad is amazing. He's wise, patient, loving
and kind. I think those are the key building blocks for the molders and shapers
of kids... hey?! I turned out OK, I'm sure he had a lot to do with it... : ) big
smiles - Jill 6.12.2008 - Tomorrow
is a bead day. Today has too many fragments of things I have to get done. SO.
If you've seen something on the site that you just can't live without *it
makes me smile to think my work may impact someone so strongly that they use those
words...: )* just give me a shout - and I'll see if I can oblige! Time to get
back to those 'fragment'... happy day all. : ) Jill 6.11.2008
- We survived... 10lbs of blueberries!!! $15
bucks. heckuva deal, no? The heat remained bearable until just after 11am. perfect
timing would be to pick from 9-10:30... must make mental note of that. I distributed
little bags of blueberries to my neighbor friends who were unable to attend...
maybe they'll be jealous and opt to come next time... : )
Good
morning! Today is blueberry picking time, got to head out early not only to ditch
the heat... but who knows what kind of photo ops are lurking with the freshly
fallen dew... check back later. Jill
6.8.2008 - 2:25pm - OK, focals have been
updated, and I have a handful of killer pendants... just waiting to be edited.
A few new focals in the works, need to get sizes onto the sales page before it
can go live... but there IS a new Daily Bead. More soon... : ) Jill 6.7.2008
- Thown full force, head-first into summer, or
the pool - whatever reads better. I guess that's how you tackle the summer heat!
This morning I get to walk a small herd of golden retrievers - as the neighbor
is out of town, and it seems a prerequisite here is to own a blonde golden...
they're such sweet guys tho. I've edited a slew of focals - would've had more
- but noticed a darn white 'ghost spot' on my images... wondering if it's some
sun spot reflection or such... but will have to retake those shots. (*I was sooo
disappointed, as the lighting was just perfect.) So - have a wonderful start to
your weekend, and maybe I'll ask you to check back with me in a day or so - and
have some eye candy up for you! smiles, Jill 6.4.2008
- Above is a glorious example of the pyramid
shaped top... on a square double hole bead. I like these primarily because they
don't flip. you can thread a cord through only one of the offset holes and wear
it that way, or it can be strung using both holes in a double stranded creation.
I love the precision of the silvered ivory stringerwork. See that dark line going
down the middle of the ivory? It's created by wrapping silver foil around a rod
of ivory glass - then pulling a stringer. In the heat, the silver melts and travels
to the top/center of the line. Neat, huh? night all. Jill
6.3.2008 - I
had a burst of creative energy and have update the beads page with a few R4 sets...
I'm adding new focals/pendants next. I've had too many caffeinated drinks today
- and I won't shut off. 6.3.2008 - 92
degrees today, just seeing it in print makes my heart faint. A friend in Midland,
TX said it was 105 there yesterday, fully affirming her decision not to torch
just right now. Summer - gotta love her - for all she brings - she sure can take
her toll. I 'weathered' the heat yesterday and made a few goodies in
the R4 sense of the word... I think you'll just have to log on later today to
see what I mean... But - it was a lot of fun - refreshing (I know that
probably needs explanation, but as with anything that brings you great joy...
when you don't do it for awhile... you get "TWITCHY"... as my friend
Rhona would say...). I need to remember how good it is to let loose and schedule
more 'me' time like that. Hope everyone is at leasts in their last week
of school - and headed to a summertime brimming with sun and water. Smiles, Jill
PS - the name for the earrings below is PLINK. Love them!!
5.31.2008 - The
BEAD PAGE has been updated - please go take a look! BEADS
(If you checked earlier than 5pm on Saturday
- it's been refreshed with some new goodies).
5.28.2008 - New hollow set on the daily
bead... bright electric colors to jumpstart your heart! I'm spending some times
catching up on the headpins and hammered rings - thanks guys for the orders. :
) Jill 5.26.2008 - Proud
moment here, as the photo below was taken by my youngest. I am hoping that a love
of photography will follow - and I hope to be able to nurture inquisitive questions
and offer help in technique and editing... wouldn't that be wonderful?
 We were walking
on the normal path we take with the dogs, this is just short of where we turn
and come home. This morning though we played a game with Cassie - where she is
held at one end and then called by the other who is quite a distance away - when
she comes galloping - she is rewarded... then called back to the start and so
on... and on. She absolutely loves this game, and who can complain - as she gets
double the walk! Sam is only allowed to watch, as I'm hoping that the ominous
prediction that his other knee will 'go' in three years will be delayed if we
are good to it AND we are. Happy day all, Jill 5.25.2008
- No, they're not beads. But, I did marvel at
the seed placement, so evenly spaced... I'm never far from glass (mentally, eh?).
Went on Monday and picked 10 gallons of these babies, washed, hulled and froze
them. Blueberries are just around the corner... Doesn't this just make you think
of summer?? mmmm... Smiles, Jill
5.23.2008 - It is 'officially' summer. The kids
are out in force, but the temperatures have not soared yet. I've been reading
up on grooming for Sam, thinking maybe he should sport a summer cut. (?) Go ahead
- tell me I'm crazy, and that if I'd wanted a labrador, I shouldn't have a golden!
(any tips appreciated!) 5.21.2008 -
I'm sorry, school is out this week, and I've
been chasing my tail. Give me a few more days to let the dust settle and I'll
be back - and ready. Thanks, Jill 5.19.2008
- Been a little distracted here of late - seems
with the summer looming - I am scrambling to get my 'ducks in a row'. I need to
spend some serious time creating... but - can't get that window of opportunity...
needless to say - will soon venture on photo safari here locally to seek out some
new inspiration, as that always seems to do the trick! Later on in the day...
I did get some creative time - goodies tomorrow! : ) Jill 5.15.2008
- Last night, Louise offered up this resource
- take a look, as they're amazing! Keep in mind, the original netsuke were carved
from ivory... Are
you familiar with the term Netsuke? This morning though, when I tried to define
images I associate with the term, I felt compelled to google it, and found a link
to the coveted Netsuke
so that we can be certain of its meaning... I was surprised at the variations
- ojime, netsuke and taga nut carvings - and their practical applications.
This
set pictured above is a small and calculted venture into manipulating the glass
with texture and then etching it for visual/tactile effect. I love how it came
out... : ) Jill 5.14.2008 -
I'm just now recovering from having a small golden
retriever roll all over me... Cassie thinks that there is nothing in this WOLD
better than being brushed, it's a task that's always tackled outside - as it can
look like some small dog exploded fur! AND, there is just no better brush than
the Defurminator - for removing that downy undercoat. My goal today was not to
just brush dogs, it was to get enough fur to fill the neighbor's bird 'feeder'
- it's a large 3"dia spring that's coiled into a loop that hangs - and you
stuff it full of fur, which the birds then come & pluck out to line their
nests... I guess we're recycling. huh? Anyhow - I got more than enough from Sam
and Cassie and am, in fact, wearing a light coating of fur on my pants as well...
on to the 2nd outfit of the day. 8 more days until school is out for
the summer... how'd that happen so quickly?? Jill
5.13.2008 - Is this a WOW photo???
I have a customer who has been asking for me to make something out of uranium
glass - you know... the kind that actually fluoresces under black light? I'll
be experimenting later on this week, and will let you see the results. How cool
is that??? later gator, Jill
5.12.2008 - Hope everyone had a
nice holiday weekend... it's back in the saddle for us again! You know how
I always take every design and go in all possible directions, right... ? ... I
added the light stamping of the bullseye design into the backs of the paddle
earrings and was pleased as punch. Once again - causing light to bounce around
in the troughs it created - added a cool silvery shimmer to these little beauties.
Especially pretty in clear!!! *bear to photograph though* But very neat. Have
a great day all. Jill
5.10.2008 -
Happy Saturday all! ((I love my coffeepot, see last week's entry)) yes,
those are virtual hug brackets... I made a good choice in selecting it. Don't
you love it when you do manage to decide on the right thing? Since we all have
different opionions about just what IS good... there surely is the perfect item
for all of us! The first lawnmower just kicked on - so - must mean it's time for
us all to 'really' be awake and functioning. I had some fun at the torch yesterday
- and will photograph them here in a minute... just wanted to give a shout-out
in case some of you were still lounging in that Saturday morning cloud of coffee
fog. ; ) Jill 5.8.2008
- I've avoided putting beads here on
this page, as I generated some confusion with the new daily bead button being
so close... here I get to indulge myself here with all the non-bead-topic oriented
images that pop into my life. Beads and such will be on the pages in the drop-down
buttons AND the new daily bead button. Mouseover and see what's up there for the
day!
There is just something good about the shiny new-ness of the recent growth. I
guess it's because all the "new" is so clean and shiny - no cuts or
blemishes. We like "new" don't we? Perhaps that's why you've been seeing
an array of images touting the perfection of new things growing of late... on
my morning walk there's also one tree in particular that makes me smile. I'm usually
lost in thought when I remember that it lies directly on my route... and I remember
to look up and re-connect with it. I'll get a shot of why today... it's small
and silly, but sometimes we all need a reminder... hang in there - it's almost
Friday. : ) Jill 5.7.2008
- I'm parked by the Today show - as Dooce.com's
Heather Armstrong is appearing on the show today. She's an amazingly frank
blogger who has a fresh take on most everything most of us will encounter - and
some things we never will! *fingers crossed* Anyhow - she won recognition this
summer at SXSW in Austin - and since then has been written about in major newspapers
- as well as being interviewed on news talk shows. Heather - you GO girl! smiles,
Jill 5.5.2008 -
Home with the flowering trees, always nice to come home. I know some little
furry friends missed me... This is an older picture of the pair... doesn't he
look protective? I think at this point - he still thought she would eventually
return 'home' to wherever it was she came from... NOT. Cute. Happy Monday all!!
Jill
5.2.2008 -
I'll be out of town until Monday afternoon - I'll be checking in as time
permits... *we all know I won't be able to stay away*... Did I say that there
would be no new beads?? Never believe what you read. Just so happens with the
great world wide web - and a wireless connection - I can be anywhere AND still
bring you beads! Have a great weekend - and know that your little white
box is happily making its way to you! smiles, Jill 5.1.2008
- Happy May Day... boy! that was fast,
May already. More in the series of how wonderful Mother Nature is. I took this
a few years back, and still just am struck by the simplicity of "design"
and amazing colors.
4.30.2008 -
(Later on this afternoon...) I am having a heavenly cup of coffee... after
the past few days, I think I deserve this! The Grind N Brew by Cuisinart won out!
(over the past three days) I have to confess, I saw a side of me that I really
didn't know existed. Last weekend, I decided it was time to replace the 10 year
old electric coffee pot. Sounds simple enough, right? I spotted a really cool
looking Cuisinart at BJs and snapped it up. It's one of those on demand ones,
where you press the lever down and a stream of coffee fills a mug. I was smugly
pleased at its design and skipped on home to get it set up. Hindsight. I thought
maybe though I ought to check out the online reviews... OMG. I never unpacked
it. Then yesterday I was again on my hunt and brought home another on demand type...
this one a Hamilton Beach... reviews were OK... but I began to think it wasn't
the perfect one for me. Today I will take both back, and I have my eye on
the Cuisinart Grind & Brew... with a thermal carafe... I have to decide that
this is IT! Who'da thunk I'd make such a nutroll over something that could, in
essence, be so simple???
But, face it. Coffee is the jumper
cables to my day... why not make it as pleasant an experience as possible? One
of my longtime customers has for numerous years sent me little care packages from
their yearly visits to Hawaii - this year's included three pkgs of coffee, chocolates
and macadamia nuts... I ground the beans this morning and am enjoying a cup of
wonderful coffee *no, I'm not eating chocolate as well*... Thank you for thinking
of me Clare - it is such a sweet thing for you to do! time to get ready
to return all my coffee pot mistakes. If you have a suggestion, email me quick
- as I'm headed out in about 2 hours. 10ish. Best of the day!! Jill 4.28.2008
- Happy Monday all... yet another full
week to face/conquer. I receive a catalog called Sundance,
are you familiar with it? It's Robert Redford's company and they always have a
very nice offering of artisan jewelry. It's very pricy - but the pieces are thought
provoking - as to the balance and craftsmanship. I often keep the catalog to oogle
the pieces long after it is out of date. If you know of other such similar catalogs,
I'd love to hear about them... smiles, Jill 4.25.2008
- Good morning... it's good to be back,
I had one of those frantic moments here last night. Suddenly I was unable to access
the Internet on my laptop - and went through the motions of trying everything
- finally chalked it up as a computer failure and had 'call Dell support' firmly
ingrained in my brain as I put head to pillow. But, this morning, I suddenly had
an idea. Vonage is the service for telephone, and when that goes down - gosh...
everything goes with it. I picked up the phone - and guess what? That pesky message
that it cannot connect... so - a simple little procedure and it's back. It's always
nice to feel you're able to fix the little thing in life that pop up. Luckily
I didn't do any radical reloading or such on my computer - as I finally had the
wherewithall to just shut it down and go to bed. : ) whew. Dodged another bullet
- Jill I love mail. Mailboxes are one of those things that are just such
a treat to find full... just like email. I pass this one every morning as we walk...
but yesterday the sun was shining on it and you can see it just awakened - with
the dew dripping down the side... given a few more weeks, the vines will blossom
and it'll be a cheerful thing to walk by - even if it IS empty!
4.24.2008 -
Sam and Cassie - tracking the spiral sliced ham... (see below) "which way
did it go?". I'll be out of touch today (more so than normal) - as I'll be
in creative mode.... I'll check in mid-day... but that's about it. Have a great
Thursday!! Jill
4.23.2008 -
OK, time for a dog story. So - this morning we're walking down the path in the
woods... and after such extreme cuteness the other day when Sam took Cassie's
leash in his mouth and was walking her - I thought you guys would need a photo
to prove it 'really happened'. So - I give the leash to Sam, he's just not interested...
Hmmm, maybe I need to take the halti harness off him, maybe that will help his
enthusiasm... well, there was enthusiasm - but it was in - are ya ready??? it
was in the spiral sliced ham that some knucklehead had tossed off the elevated
walkway into the creekbed. I thought Sam was about to launch himself down about
8' and throw himself onto it. Talk about one's heart stopping. *yeah. Remember
that surgery he had last fall??? A plate and 6 screws in his knee??? - we're not
about to jeopardize that for a silly spiral ham SAM! - quickly back onto the leash
- forget the photo folks... you'll just have to take my word for it.
Much as I love making wearably scaled beads - I have been working on a series
of transparents that are just juicy. I
chose to have them larger than my normal bead - shown here with the (IMHO "dreaded
coin" for size) quarter placed on top...
I had somehow begun to think that they were the size of a half-dollar... as they
are so bold, maybe they just appear larger than life!? Turns out they're a the
demure size of a quarter! The concentric circles are stamped onto only one side,
as when it's on both sides, I feel that the patterns "fight".
reminder:
If you mouse-over the Daily Bead button, just above, you'll see an image.
Click on the button - and it will take you to another page where the snippet shown
on the button will be offered for sale. click the button above, which will open
a new email to me - send it, then wait for my response - if you're the first to
respond, it's yours. I'll send an invoice through PayPal, and that will close
the deal.
4.20.2008 -
why is it that the aroma of comfort foods drifting through the house is just so
nice? You know the type I'm referring to - cookies, onions frying, meatloaf...biscotti.
I made people smile today - that's always a nice accomplishment. I've added a
new daily bead... you ought to check it out! Thanks for checking in on me today...
smiles, Jill 4.17.2008
- I guess I get giddy-silly as we get
the first few infusions of beautiful Spring days - and how this wonderful sunshine
just releases the colors of the transparent glass. Above, is shown a slimmer profile
of a large bullseye tab (they measure 1" or 25mm across). Neat, eh?
4.16.2008 -
The tax-man cameth and wenteth... are we all OK? Loads of beautiful weather
and sunshine here - and more hollows... a new design element will be emerging
from the kiln later on today - come check it out tomorrow... hee hee. You'll see
what I'm excited about. COLOR. Do you realize summer is only weeks away?
Sheesh - where'd the school-year go? I know... another one of those blinding moments
I seem to be having about time passing so quickly. Is this what happens as we
age? hrmph... I don't think I like this too much. Just blink and it'll be tomorrow
and you'll see what I mentioned above! : )) Jill 4.15.2008
- With the last snippet of fading sunlight
tonight - as I was cooking dinner - I caught the color spilling out of these hollows,
fresh from the kiln just about an hour ago. I tried Glassdaddy's
Lauscha Aquamarine transparent - big difference between this transparent Lauscha
glass and the similar color from Czechoslovakia... is this German glass doesn't
boil in the flame. - NONE of the Lauscha transparents do. This is definitely
a big plus when you're encasing over a dark core color - as you don't have to
fight the scum that forms because of micro-bubbles. Anyhow - I played with Lemon,
and Tangerine, Olivine, and Glassdaddy purple. sigh - aren't they pretty? Gosh
- I could probably EVEN sell the shadows!
Just another look at the Ventana series below - little windows of color.
I love the visual texture from the chill marks and the crisp edges from popping
it out of the press quickly. Denim, Glassdaddy Purple, Olivine and Amber Rose
- quite a quartet. Hollows today. See ya! Jill
4.14.2008 -
Happy Monday - for what that's worth, eh? I had to laugh when I saw this firebush
blossom - it's about the tiniest thing you've ever seen, but proudly adding to
the pollen out there too! I'm falling in love with my Sony DSC-F707 all over again...
*(yes, I'm supposed to be learning to use the Canon Rebel... but...)* depth of
field manipulation created the most demure backdrop for this little blossom, don't
you love that even the smallest contributors matter? I've attached a new set
to the button above that will take you to the Daily Bead page. : ) Jill
4.12.2008
- From what I understand, you would like
to see more hollows? OK!! I love to make them, and next time I sit down, that's
what will come of the session. I have had several requests for sets in the same
flavor as what's on my cards - I was looking for it on my site... hmmm, I just
don't see it!?
THERE!!! isn't it glorious?? The hollows are quite a
bit larger than the sets I've had up for Daily Special - Pricing will be low $200
- email me if you're interested in a set. Maybe after this long, cold winter -
we're all so ready for something that just pops - and these little air balloons
do just that - seemingly almost lighter than air - and truly celebrating the glory
of transparent glass. This is a mixture of CZech - Denim & Tourmaline and
my favorite - Lauscha transparents... amethyst, amber and the clear. sigh... pretty,
eh? smiles, Jill
PS - RANT ALERT
- I imagine many of you have iPods... what is it with the fragility
of the screen? I just finished making an adjustment to the holder for mine - I've
added a double layer of clear plexiglas *cut from the clear case of a CD holder*
and positioned them inside/under the window of the holder... so - now - it will
really take a lot to shatter the screen. YOU would think that they could manufacture
these to be a bit more hearty... as I don't imagine care is a trait that is too
often found in their younger users...but then again, I assume the fragile design
will allow Apple to sell many more of them. I'm done buying them. (and done complaining).
4.10.2008 -
New pictures! I'm recovering from a trip outside... where YES... it IS pretty,
but the pollen is the #1 thing in the air... sneezing - and a general sense of
fogginess... give me allergy meds!! See one of the contributors above... purty,
eh? Good morning, I'm in the midst of stringing up some sets, and hoping
to catch some great shots - check back a little later for offerings on the Daily
Bead. Thanks! Jill 4.9.2008
- Great little stack of disks - held together
only with water and capillary action... very pretty when light comes streaming
through each disk's individual color. These go with a custom set, but I'm tempted
to make more... Today's daily "bead" SOLD
is a bit different - it's a really cool summer necklace I made recently.
All the really yummy transparent colors I could lay my hands on - in all these
great shapes, linked by the hammered rings. Generous in length 20"- easily
adjustable *just bend the rings open, like you would a jumpring, and remove*,
colorful to boot! click the button and have a look! smiles, Jill
4.8.2008-
So, you like it? Here's another bead set SOLD
for today... the story behind the earrings above? It started with a pair of paddles
in a light aqua - the chill marks made them look like gossamer Mayfly wings...
they're very lightweight and elegant. smiles, Jill

Maiden voyage! If
you mouse-over the Daily Bead button at the top of this page, you'll see an image.
Click on the button - and it takes you to another page where the snippet shown
on the button will be offered for sale. Be the first to send me a claiming email...
and it's yours. We'll do the usual PayPal billing - and close the deal. Fun? Now,
let me go make the offering page... don't you just love new toys?? smiles, Jill

I've been out of town for a few days - limping along on
a dial up connection at the hotel. Gosh - how spoiled we've become (ahem, I)...
with the home cable connection. I'm planning an update towards the end of next
week, but I'll let you know when as it gets closer, also - the 'button' is in
the works... Jane - the original designer of this site referred to it as an 'Easter
egg' I'd never heard that term, but after her definition had experienced them
before. There was a flameworker back in Austin that I had contacted back in 1998...
Ricky Charles Dodson, who had a very interesting website. Lots of stories of his
work, photos, and also many little hidden links that would pop up as you moused
over them. It then leads to another page that there is no other visible/obvious
link.... neat, eh? Smiles & pollen - Jill 4.2.2008-
Perking right along - we enter April... *now that the day
of the fool is over!* it's that blissful time between the chill of winter - and
the heatwave of summer. Sitting last night at a kids' sporting event - I realized
we were in that window of time... and how 4.1.2008-
Greetings on Fool's Day. What wild pranks will I pull today?!
hee hee.... It seems so odd to be up at the regular time, and have to wait
to take the dogs out - because it's still black as night out there! 3.27.2008-
From an anonymous excerpt on Mountain Wings - that happened
into my inbox this morning... nice. Cheers... cheerfulness removes the
rust from the mind, lubricates our inward machinery, and enables us to do our
work with fewer creaks and groans. If people were universally cheerful, probably
there wouldn't be half the quarreling or a tenth part of the wickedness there
is. Cheerfulness, too, promotes health and immortality. Cheerful people live longest
here on earth, and afterward in our hearts.
3.25.2008 - Hey there... flurry of
little white boxes were launched out into the mail yesterday - Now I'm gleefully
free to create!! It's a chilly morning - compared with the temps we've been having
- March is ALWAYS so darn tricky! Hope it's sunny and mild *or getting so* where
you are. : ) have a great day - Jill 3.20.2008
- I'm working on a small template that will allow me to stick to one
day a week for a small update. You will know about it in advance - because it
will always be at the same time/same spot - and you won't have to rely on an email
notice. It will be a single page and will offer a mix of 4-6 items. Lauscha

- Good morning all - I just can't get used to the darkness since daylight
savings time... but it sure is nice having light later on in the evening... give
and take, eh? I did post the update last night - sent out the notice rather
late - there are still some beauties left - so if you haven't, go check the pages
out. Happy Birthday wishes go out to my buddy Mari - who will be coming here
for a long awaited visit in just about a week! A friendship that has always felt
about as close as it could be, (thank you cell phone!)can it possibly be almost
2 years since I've seen her? sheesh. Well, the house is clicking to life here
- time to get crackin'.smiles, Jill 3.18.2008
- AAAK! This always happens to me, (ahem, I always let this
happen to me) I never know when to draw the proverbial line - and am adding items
right up until the final 5 minutes. I've not added some sizes - if it is a deal
breaker, I can let you know - but for most of you - YOU KNOW the appx. size of
my beads... pendants are usually about 2 1/2" long... anyhoo. Morning
all! I'll be sending out the notice here in a few minutes - about the update -
I was going to do it later in the week, but - for the most part - tonight looks
good. If you miss out on a set you'd like, do drop me a line - as I'm always interested
in what you'd like to see more of! Thanks for stopping in - hope to see you later
on tonight! smiles, Jill 3.17.2008
- Good afternoon, you'll be thrilled to hear that my photography muse
was visiting here - and smiling upon me. I've got two pages of beads updated -
will check the links in a little bit and plan for an update on Tuesday night.
It's been awhile - I like to feel that there are significant enough offerings
to make it worth your while. KnowhatImean? The change of season always throws
me for a loop - and every so often, I expect that my style will morph onwards
to something new - but this is not predictable. I am always eyes-open, camera
poised - as there is constant inspiration out there and I'm not going to miss
any of it! Hope you all are digging out from this long cold winter and enjoying
the renewal of spring... as I am. smiles, Jill 3.15.2008

3.12.2008 - Sweet little Cassie... Sam's nemesis.
3.10.2008
- Down to business! Today is going to bring wonderful things. What a great
way to start out, eh? Yep... I've got some ideas and hope they turn into great
little treasures. Happy Monday all - : ))) Jill
3.9.2008 - Hopefully everyone remembered to move their clocks
ahead that hour... so much of this happens automatically what with computers fixing
their settings... etc. But I did find that I had to turn off my cell and back
on again for it to register the new time. (luckily I had awakened before my 'alarm'
- because it was still on the 'old' time.) Oh, and I did forget the programmable
thermostat... so the house was COLD this morning... Although it's crisp
out - it's a beautiful day and I'm taking advantage of it by bringing Sam out
with me to the park! Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday. : ) Jill
