Create drama and inspire the imagination with Jill Symons.

In this one day class we will be using surprising elements such as copper for its amazing color change, silver for the sparkle and color possibilities, precious metal leaf - gold, moongold and palladium. frit, as well as other magical transforming elements. Learning these new backdropswill give your beads a visual texture and presence.

Jill will show you how to shape a base bead quickly and effectively, give you the skill to form perfect ends - thin encasing and achieve firm control of the glass. An overview of the use of R4 silvered glass as a base for designs, along with some time tested tips that will help to simplify your lampworking will be taught.

Create depth inside the beads through multiple layering of floating elements. Most beads will be shaped by deliberate marvering, so feel free to bring your favorite paddle or graphite marble mold (also, if you have a brass lentil press bring it!) and learn new ways to use these tools to enhance your skills.

Class Tution $175 Lunch is included.
