Tile shaped top bead suggested by a new customer… Thanks Mel! Love the elegance of these earrings! 1 7/8” Drop from top to tip. : )
Yes - black goes with silver… like peanut butter goes with jelly… These will be your go to earrings. Promise.
Jetstream Silver Double Chain Bracelet - $70
Delicate Jetstream drop suspended from the clasp area of this double sterling silver chain. I handmade the smaller chain on some crazy day…. (rolling eyes). Nice heavy silver lobster clasp…will easily fit 6 1/2-7” wrist. Three available
Glorious Lipstick Red earrings - slim in profile, daring in execution! This pair is handshaped to this unique shape and have only the top hole. I’ve already set sterling bails in the tops and suspended them from my round sterling silver handmade ear wires… the dangle is 2 1/4“ from your earlobe.
I love the way pinks, purples, and reds are friends… it seems almost like and unexpected pairing. But I think it’s nice. This set is shown with the red earrings - and it just sings. There are golden undertones - little balls of golden metal held under the clear encasing glass… and often an unexpected sheen of reduction of the boro as it is encased that adds a layer of interest to this set. Ten beads all 1/2” in diameter (5” strand) - with 1/16” mandrel holes. This is a nicely wearable size - and warms to the skin within minutes… I like that when I wear beads like this - I often forget they’re even there!
Sometimes we just need black. Same wonderfully swingy pair of earrings - with small round dangle… only this time from a 15mm sq tile. Sterling silver handmade findings…1 7/8” Drop from top to tip. : )
Kind of Bohemian pendant - with fun little stars sprinkled all over it. Sometimes a bit of stringerwork is just what the body needs!! 2” long from top to tip.
sometimes I just want to make jewelry…
I love the interplay between bead styles and the colors of the glass. In a more earthy grouping - these all are willing neighbors and exhibit a cohesiveness that makes creating a finished piece easy. This set - as strung measures 10 1/2“ in length.
This opaque glass was imported by my father from Lauscha - once… then they never could reproduce it. It’s Prussian Blue - and I love it. Almost as much as I love its transparent friend - Denim Blue… Two large hole beads 1/4” inside dia. w/ squared edges. Encased silver dots… nice. 17mm OD, 8mm W
Springtime in Seattle - $85
This elegant set of beads combines the cool quiet of the denim blue - with reflective black to capture the sky… a quiet slow awakening of seasons. 8 3/4” long as strung.
I revisited my love of scrollwork this week… fun focal with slight Arts & Crafts influence - mixed with swirls (where appropriate). 3/32” mandrel hole, matching pair of single hole earrings slightly larger than 1/2”. Sterling silver handmade findings.
Almost like an exclamation mark… I have a pendant like this that I like to wear often - as it goes with most everything. I held off and didn’t make up the earrings - as these are actual beads with holes that go all the way through… I thought maybe you’d like to? If not - I’d be happy to wire them up. : ) 1/2”D rounds and a 2 3/8”L pendant.
mmmm… Aren’t they lovely? 1/2” beads tightly wrapped and encased in clear. suspended from handmade sterling silver findings.
Sweet and lighter for springtime… this pair of matching rondelles is unusual for me, as I usually opt for spheres… but I love these. Encased with melty dots of silver floating above a sweet core. 1/16”mandrel holes. 10mm x 15mm
Two views of the same focal - lentilized core of ivory - encased the magic and pressed, hoping to get an even distribution of opaque in the sea of clear encasing. Pleased! 30mm x 33mm with a 1/16” mandrel hole.
What can I say? This is a beautiful color and the inclusions make a delicate yet intricate set… what can one add to transparent glass to make it even more alluring? All this! Some is tangible, some is textural… all of it works beautifully together. 1/2” dia beads - all with 1/16” mandrel holes.
Sweet and a bit ethereal. This carved elongated olive shaped focal has a core of sunset/beach colors and flecks of mica to add sparkle… I’ve encased in clear and given it vertical channels to add places for the waning sunlight to hide and bounce around… 3/32” mandrel hole.
Set of four 13mm dia rounds that have a silvery core and surface carving. 1/16” mandrel holes. Three sets available : )
My love of this glass is unending. It always delivers. This set of seven 1/2”D beads is one of my favorites. All have 1/16” mandrel holes. All the added inclusions are held under a top layer of clear - so nothing gets knocked off or tarnishes. ; )
